As seen above, I have added some cut out pictures of Scarlett and reinforced her heart logo at the top of my website. I think this is more effective and eye-catching than before, and helps reinforce her brand identity.

Reflective of my NEA First Draft feedback to improve my audience participation elements on my website,  I have now included these elements on my website...

Above I,

-  encourage my audience to follow Scarlett on social media (increasing her cross media convergence and star persona of being present on multiple platforms)

- featured a 20 seconds clip encouraging audiences to say how many intertextual references they spotted (encouraging audience participation, particularly to loyal fans)

I am very pleased with the footage from when I filmed Sadie and Nana again and I think their new in cousins help deepen my music video even more.

I have specifically focused on the clips that are identical just with either Sadie or Nana - they particularly help me emphasise my motif of passage of time.

Another reccommendation that I received from my pitch was to merge some of my merch to the first (About) page too.

I decided to feature the merch from the tour, and feature this above the tour dates to encourage continuity and view to buy.

The media shoot was definitely a success! 

As previously planned, I met with my Nana and Sadie and then we drove down to the seafront. 

We first of all shot come videos of them looking over Adventure Island from the observatory - I tried to get clips of them doing the same things, in hope of being able to put the videos together in my music video.

We then were planning (as I wrote in my plan) to see the Remembrance poppies, however, since they were only featured on the pier for a few days, it was extremely popular and since we were on a timeframe we decided to give it a miss...

This meant that I had to think on my feet as to where we were going to film instead - but then a remembered I filmed a few shots in the arcades with Scarlett and Theo (eg. the shot of her lipsyncing when When We Were Young in the final part of my video). Due to this, I decided to go there with them and I specifically focused on taking videos of Sadie as this time is probably the last time I will be filming with her - whereas I see my Nana regularly, so I can film her whenever I do so. 

I think it was effective just filming Sadie interacting with the arcades and genuinely having fun. As she is younger, I think it was too much of an ask to get her to lip-sync or act - whereas when I was filming with Scarlett she could do both of these things very effectively...

Working with different age ranges for my NEA has definitely been a learning curve, I found that Sadie due to her youthfulness and more carefree approach was happy taking pictures and videos when and wherever, whereas my Nana was slightly more camera shy...

This meant that I had to alter the way I would approach filming the different generations to ensure the footage would still be effective and feel genuine. This meant that filming more 'candid' and less staged videos for the younger and older generations was more authentic, whereas for Scarlett and Theo I could focus in on lip-syncing and acting. 

After spending some time in the arcades we shot some footage on the seawall and then went to Roberto's for ice cream. This is the same parlour as the I shot Scarlett and Theo at - so I tried to take similar shots to ensure continuity and story building (showing passage of time of people but not surroundings).

Overall, I am very pleased with how the shoot went, and I am excited to add my new footage to my website and music video.

A prominent suggestion from my NEA was to differentiate some of the fonts on my website. 

As a result of this I have changed the font saying 'Let me colour your world' to start...

I think I do prefer this version now as I think it ties in the font on the thumbnail of my music video, however I am now deciding whether to replace all of the text using the old font with this new font too...

If not, once I have finished my music video, I may decide to change the font text on the thumbnail instead...

In response to my feedback from my first draft, tomorrow I am meeting with Sadie ('Younger Scarlett') and my Nana ('Older Scarlett') to film some more content.

I am hoping to take them down to Southend Pier to the Remberance poppies display and get shots of them individually and together interacting. 

My music video calls mostly for shots of them just being natural rather than lip-syncing lyrics etc. however, if suitable I will perhaps film them lip-syncing 'When We Were Young' for the final montage scenes.

I also would like my Nana to have an ice cream so I have all generations doing this for Scarlett.

If we have time perhaps I could also films some shots of them at the arcades.

I am pleased with how my first draft went, and have received some invaluable feedback.

As a result of this feedback, I need to focus more time into:

I think it is important that my website also features the cast of my music video to Aldo generate buzz an awareness towards the video.

Following from my inclusion of the polaroid camera in my music video, I edited mini profiles of each of the cast members onto a polaroid camera and credited who they played and their names.

I think this looks very fitting on my website and further helps to link my music video and website together.

Once I had successfully downloaded the new videos onto my laptop I began adding them into my music video on Final Cut Pro.

I had to go through each clip, and tried my best to select the best moments for my music video.

I had to be carefully not to disrupt the lip-syncing of my music video and all of the other clips as I tested where to add the clips in.

Above clearly shows how many layers I had and needed to test out...

I also decided to add clips of Scarlett in and move already pre-existing clips around.

Overall, I am pleased with the clips I shot and I am even happier with my music video. 

The new clips add another layer of depth to my music video and still follow my original plan of the first verse being at a 'party'.

Over the weekend I filmed clips for the start of the music video as per suggestions. 

I filmed these videos on my Sony ZV-1 and then transported the videos to my laptop to them into my music video that I am editing on Final Cut Pro.
